Wastewater System
In the field of wastewater disposal, the advantages of IFWmoulds come into their own. Sewer pipes are often subject to extreme conditions such as icy cold, tropical heat, chemicals, aggressive effluent or acidic soils.
Many years of experience, research and development for practical applications like Manhole Systems , have made IFWmouldtec the leading expert in the manufacture of high-tech injection moulds for wastewater systems. Perfect design, outstanding precision and high-quality materials create an ideal basis for you to manufacture your products. -
Water Supply System
Today's supply systems convey water safely and hygienically from the source to where it is required. Of great importance is also an adequate and reliable supply of hot water, both for heating and sanitary installations. For drinking water applications we only use special plastics that are approved for direct contact with drinking water, such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). When piping hot water, special demands are placed on the material used, as it not only has to comply with strict hygiene standards but also withstand high temperatures. Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) is therefore often used because of its high temperature stability. This however also means special processing requirements for injection moulding.

Exhaust System
Modern condensing boiler heating systems place completely new demands on the flue gas pipes. Excellent gas leak tightness is not enough for these systems. In addition to being leak tight, the pipes also have to be resistant to condensate which can sometimes be corrosive. Due to the low exhaust gas temperatures, drain pipes made of plastic are the ideal choice. IFW supplies high-tech moulds for these systems that are highly suitable for processing the special plastics used, such as modified flame retardant PP, PPS and PVDF

Gas Supply
A safe, reliable supply of natural gas is a key factor in economic and community development. IFW therefore uses high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE) to make fittings for gas supply pipes. The thick walls of the PE fittings mean that cooling has to be as uniform as possible to minimize warping and stress. Short gate systems with optimum geometric designs, integrated hot runner systems and the ideal mould temperature are consequently the most important parameters for precision manufacture. To comply with them, IFW makes high-tech moulds that can process this type of polyethylene carefully and consistently.

Electrofusion – Efimatic by Tooler
IFW'sEfimatic segment focuses on semi and fully automatic production of complex plastic parts, such as electrofusion fittings. The modular system design enables fittings of various different types (e.g. sockets, elbows, tees, etc.) and dimensions (20 mm to 400 mm) to be manufactured.

In-Mould Label
As legislation is requiring manufacturers to provide increasing amounts of information, the ability to label and trace products is gaining in importance. When injection moulded, products are marked with an engraved stamp as standard andpreprinted labels are also applied, depending on requirements. IFW has therefore developed concepts for labeling molded parts, such as fittings, inline. Unlike conventional labels, these are permanently attached to the fittings.

Component Molding
Multi-component injection molding technology is used to increase the functionality of the parts and minimize the number of steps required to mould them. IFW has developed innovative mould concepts that enable fittings and other parts with integrated gaskets to be produced using a two-component process .The special feature of this system is that the molded part does not have to be rotated and the gasket is permanently attached to the part. The two components are injected one immediately after the other without requiring additional time for moving and positioning the part. IFW has designed the solution with hot runner systems and valve gates for high precision.
Two-component technology is used, for example, for sewer fittings with internal gaskets or for screw caps to closeinspection openings.
